TRIKA Arabia is a Dubai-based FF&E procurement and trading company working with architects, interior designers, developers, hospitality clients, and private clients across the UAE and GCC.
We source and deliver furniture, lighting, rugs, outdoor pieces, bespoke joinery, and large-format art from international brands and specialist manufacturers. Our work involves supplier coordination, international purchasing, customs, logistics, project-based sales, and B2B/B2C client transactions.
We are looking for a hands-on finance professional who can take ownership of the full accounting and finance function as the company grows.
JOB PURPOSE:
We are hiring a Senior Accountant / Finance & Accounting Manager to manage the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, UAE VAT compliance, supplier payments, receivables, cash flow, landed costing, and margin control for our UAE trading and procurement business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently, maintain accurate books in Zoho Books, and support management with reliable financial reporting and practical commercial insight.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing day-to-day accounting while also reviewing pricing, margins, supplier costs, inventory movements, and cash flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Accounting & Financial Reporting
· Maintain accurate books of account in line with UAE requirements and applicable IFRS principles
· Manage the full accounting cycle in Zoho Books
· Prepare monthly financial statements, including:
· Profit & loss statement
· Balance sheet
· Cash flow summary
· Accounts receivable aging
· Accounts payable aging
· Inventory and landed cost reports
· Order / project profitability reports
· Manage general ledger entries, journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and month-end closing
· Perform bank, cash, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations
· Maintain complete and organised accounting records
· Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants when required
· Accounts Payable, Suppliers & Imports
· Process local and international supplier invoices
· Manage supplier payments and payment schedules
· Handle multi-currency transactions, including EUR, GBP, USD, and AED
· Liaise with banks for local and international transfers
· Track supplier deposits, balance payments, shipment-linked payments, and credit terms
· Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies
· Support procurement and operations teams with financial documentation related to supplier orders
· Accounts Receivable & Collections
· Prepare and track client invoices across B2B and B2C transactions
· Monitor deposits, payment milestones, balance payments, and collections
· Maintain accounts receivable aging reports
· Follow up on overdue payments where required
· Support management in maintaining proper credit control
· Ensure payment terms are clearly tracked and followed
· Sales, Pricing & Margin Control
· Review sales quotations, supplier costs, shipping costs, duties, VAT treatment, and final selling prices
· Validate gross margin calculations before approval where required
· Identify pricing errors, margin leakage, incorrect cost allocation, or under-recovered expenses
· Prepare simple profitability summaries by order, project, client, or supplier
· Challenge sales or procurement assumptions when numbers do not make commercial sense
· Escalate transactions that fall below approved profitability thresholds
· Inventory, Landed Costing & Stock Control
· Monitor inventory balances, stock movements, and showroom/sample stock where applicable
· Calculate accurate landed costs, including:
· Purchase cost
· Freight
· Customs duty
· Clearance fees
· Delivery charges
· Storage costs where applicable
· Other directly attributable costs
· Reconcile stock records with physical inventory counts
· Track goods in transit, supplier-held goods, client-owned goods, and stock items
· Support inventory control processes and documentation
· Cash Flow & Working Capital
· Manage day-to-day cash flow tracking
· Prepare short-term rolling cash flow forecasts
· Monitor inflows and outflows
· Prioritise supplier payments based on due dates, shipment requirements, project urgency, and liquidity
· Flag cash flow risks early
· Support management in understanding working capital requirements for large orders, supplier deposits, imports, and client payment schedules
· VAT, Corporate Tax & Compliance
· Prepare and file UAE VAT returns accurately and on time
· Ensure correct VAT treatment for local sales, imports, exports, and GCC-related transactions
· Maintain proper VAT documentation, customs documents, invoices, contracts, and payment records
· Support UAE Corporate Tax compliance together with external advisors
· Ensure accounting records meet UAE regulatory and audit requirements
· Budgeting, Forecasting & Management Support
· Prepare simple budgets and forecasts
· Perform variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures
· Prepare management reports for owners / partners when required
· Help build finance processes, reporting templates, approval flows, and internal controls
· Work closely with sales, procurement, logistics, and operations to improve financial discipline across the business
· Key Accountabilities / KPIs
THE ROLE WOULD BE MEASURED BY:
· Accuracy and completeness of financial records
· Timely monthly closing and reporting
· Clean bank, supplier, customer, and inventory reconciliations
· Accurate landed cost and margin calculations
· Timely VAT filing and compliance
· Quality of cash flow reporting
· Reduction of pricing, costing, and margin errors
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Quality of financial support provided to management
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
· Minimum 5 years’ accounting / finance experience
· GCC experience required; UAE experience strongly preferred
· Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books
· Experience in trading, distribution, procurement, import-export, furniture, interiors, construction materials, or a similar sector
· Strong knowledge of UAE VAT
· Working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax requirements
· Experience with international suppliers and multi-currency transactions
· Strong understanding of landed cost, inventory, and margin calculations
· Advanced Excel skills
· Ability to manage the full accounting cycle independently
· Strong attention to detail and high level of accountability
· Ability to work closely with sales and operations while professionally challenging assumptions when needed
PREFFERED:
· Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent
· Experience with B2B project-based sales
· Experience with customs documentation and import accounting
· Experience preparing management reports for owners, partners, or shareholders
· Experience in a small-to-mid-sized company where the finance role is hands-on and independent
· Software Skills
THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE STRONG PRACTIAL EXPERIENCE USING ZOHO BOOKS, INCLUDING:
· Sales invoices
· Purchase bills
· VAT records
· Bank reconciliation
· Supplier and customer ledgers
· Inventory / item tracking where applicable
· Multi-currency transactions
· Management reports
Advanced Excel skills are also required for margin checks, landed cost calculations, cash flow tracking, and reporting.

This is not a narrow bookkeeping role. The successful candidate must be able to manage accounting execution directly while also supporting management with financial control, reporting, VAT compliance, cash flow, landed costing, and margin validation.
