Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with strong experience in real estate and construction accounting. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of TDS, GST, accounts finalization, and preparation of key financial statements, including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet. This role requires an individual who can independently handle the full accounting cycle and support audits, project cost analysis, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:1. Accounting Operations
- Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Review, verify, and approve accounting entries, invoices, and payment vouchers.
- Lead bank reconciliation, general ledger scrutiny, and vendor/customer reconciliation.
2. Real Estate & Construction Accounting
- Manage and monitor project-wise accounting, cost allocation, and work-in-progress tracking.
- Oversee contractor billing, RA bills, material consumption, and site expense verification.
- Maintain records related to land cost, development cost, customer payments, and project recovery schedules.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Independently handle TDS calculation, deduction, deposit, and return filing.
- Manage GST input/output reconciliation, return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), and annual compliances.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and respond to tax notices/queries if any.
4. Financial Reporting & Finalization
- Independently prepare and finalize:
- Trial Balance
- Profit & Loss Statement
- Balance Sheet
- Assist in internal, statutory, and tax audits by preparing schedules and providing required data.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, cash flow statements, project profitability, and management reports.
5. Internal Controls & Process Management
- Implement and maintain internal control processes for accounting, payments, and documentation.
- Ensure proper verification of bills, vendor agreements, and purchase orders.
- Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
- 8+ years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Real Estate/Construction accounting (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting standards, and finalization of accounts.
- Hands-on experience with Tally ERP, Excel, and real estate ERPs like Farvision (preferred).
- Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage accounts and work under minimal supervision.
