Senior Accountant (Real Estate Startup)

Overview

Our client is a rapidly growing real estate investment firm (10 employees) that is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant i n a newly-created role. This is the 2nd true accounting hire and will get involved with all aspects of the month-end close along with exposure to their portfolio of properties.

What you'll do

• Own the full-cycle accounts payable process including invoice processing, vendor management, approvals, and timely payment runs
• Support month-end close activities including AP accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Operate Yardi for AP, GL, and reporting workflows across a portfolio of commercial and industrial properties
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness across pay cycles
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure clean and accurate financials
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline AP workflows and increase efficiency

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in real estate or property management
• Hands-on Yardi experience is a MUST
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-scaling, lean startup environment
• Strong attention to detail and comfortable owning a function independently
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance preferred
