Senior Accountant, Tax Advisor

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

- Minimum 5 years accountancy experience in handling all accounting and finance functions

- Good understanding of accounting principles and IFRS

- Chartered Accountant / Certified Public Accountant

- Relevant exposure to statutory reporting

- VAT experience

- Strong skills in accounting software

- Must be fluent in English

Responsibilities: Accounting

- Responsible for performance of the general accounting functions/tasks, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, asset management, inventory, cost control and others

- Perform all necessary financial accounting activities, bank reconciliations, and checks, assuring complete and correct allocation of costs, while ensuring that internal and external accounts reporting complies with the relevant financial standards and regulations

- Prepare/Review balance sheet reconciliations and identify and resolve reconciling items, and unreconciled differences

- Ensure operation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices, or provide recommendations to improve internal controls and policies to management and ensure compliance with those controls and policies within your assigned duties

- Execute proper registration, documentation, and archiving of relevant financial documents

- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with local regulations and legislation

- Perform and produce monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and other schedules, including budget versus actual analysis

- Share complete and timely bank statements with company executives

- Prepare timely monthly/quarterly VAT returns

- Ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company

- Coordinate and facilitate the timely completion of annual statutory audit for the company

- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures

- Ensure there is no misappropriation in the accounts

- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures of the company

- Ensure timely payments

- Ensure appropriate approvals & completion of documentation

Responsibilities: Tax and Business Consulting

- Consult on Tax and Commercial Laws in the UAE

- Drafting and examining corporate documentation

- Company formation and administration

- Management consulting on administrative and financial matters

- Ensuring AML & KYC compliance

- Preparing commercial offers for company formations and administration

- Contacting potential clients and conducting initial consultations for company formations
