Senior Accountant (UAE based experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to manage the financial records of multiple UAE-based clients. The role requires accurate recording of financial transactions, timely account reconciliations, preparation of VAT returns, and compliance with relevant accounting standards. The individual will collaborate closely with both clients and internal teams to deliver accurate monthly reports and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end monthly accounting for a portfolio of UAE-based clients.

Communicate effectively with clients to collect necessary information and respond to queries promptly.

Perform monthly reconciliations, including cash, bank, receivables, and payables.

Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.

Generate accurate month-end financial reports.

Ensure adherence to international accounting standards.

Follow company policies for data security and management.

Conduct thorough self-reviews to maintain accuracy and quality in client deliverables.

Qualifications

Education: ACCA, CA, ICMA (qualified or finalist), or an equivalent qualification in accounting/finance. Experience: 2–3 years in a similar role, with experience handling multiple UAE clients preferred.

Preferred Skills

Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of corporate compliance requirements in UAE

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Odoo, Tally, Smart Books, or other cloud-based platforms.

VAT Knowledge: Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and experience preparing VAT returns.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in financial records.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients and resolve issues.

Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying discrepancies and implementing solutions.

Time Management: Capable of working efficiently under pressure, particularly during month-end closings and tax deadlines.
