Key responsibilities:
1. Maintain complete books of accounts for multiple UAE entities / branches.
2. Record sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, petty cash, and intercompany transactions.
3. Reconcile bank accounts, supplier ledgers, customer ledgers, POS collections, cash collections, delivery platform settlements, and online payment gateway receipts.
4. Maintain proper VAT records, verify tax invoices, classify input VAT correctly, prepare VAT workings, and file VAT returns through EmaraTax.
5. Prepare corporate tax records, maintain supporting schedules, coordinate annual corporate tax filing, and ensure books are CT-ready.
6. Manage monthly closing within a fixed deadline and produce:
* P&L
* Balance sheet
* Trial balance
* General ledger
* AP ageing
* AR ageing
* Cash/bank reconciliation
* Intercompany balances
* VAT payable/recoverable schedule
7. Track platform commissions, discounts, refunds, delivery charges, aggregator payouts, and VAT treatment on commissions.
8. Support cost-of-sales tracking, basic inventory/BOM reporting, supplier-wise food cost classification, and margin reporting.
9. Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation schedule, loan schedules, related-party/intercompany schedules, and audit support files.
10. Coordinate with external auditor for annual audit and provide all audit schedules.
11. Coordinate payroll journals, WPS payment records, gratuity provisions, leave salary provisions, and employee cost allocation.
12. Improve accounting controls: invoice approval, petty cash control, document storage, supplier statement matching, payment approvals, and monthly checklist.
13. Maintain clean digital records for invoices, receipts, contracts, bank statements, VAT returns, CT filings, platform statements, and audit evidence.
Required skills:
* UAE VAT experience is mandatory.
* UAE corporate tax awareness is mandatory.
* Experience with EmaraTax.
* Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
* Experience with Tally Prime preferred; Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP experience is also acceptable.
* F&B, restaurant, cloud kitchen, retail, FMCG, or trading experience preferred.
* Ability to work independently without needing an external bookkeeping agency.
* Good written communication and ability to explain numbers clearly to management.
Ideal profile:
Someone with 4–7 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in restaurants, cloud kitchens, FMCG, retail, or food trading. They should not just “enter bills”; they should be able to own the full monthly close, VAT filing, corporate tax preparation, audit file, reconciliations, and management reporting across 5 trade licenses / entities / branches.
Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
