About the Role

Standard Group India is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant with a strong background in trading firm accounting. The ideal candidate will independently handle end-to-end accounts, taxation, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage the complete accounting cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the full set of accounts for the company.
• Handle day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy in all entries.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, vendor payments, credit notes, and debit notes.
• Perform bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and ledger scrutiny.
• Manage stock accounting, purchase/sales entries, and inventory-related accounting (specific to trading).
• Prepare GST workings, TDS returns, and coordinate with consultants for filings.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
• Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial summaries for management.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls.
• Ensure documentation, record-keeping, and timely submission of all reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field (CA Inter/MBA Finance is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a trading firm (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of Tally ERP and accounting software.
• Well-versed in GST, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Solid understanding of inventory & stock accounting processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
