Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and supporting accurate financial decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
- Record daily transactions, invoices, payments, and expenses
- Revenue and collection reconciliation on daily basis and depositing the cash balance to bank
- Ensure the transactions are done in line with the SOP.
- Ensure accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Preparations of MIS reports and analysing Variance of actuals vs budgeted
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with regulations
- Payment of TDS and filing of TDS quarterly returns
- Support internal and external audits
- Liaise with banks for loans, credit facilities, and guarantees
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software ( Tally ) and MS Excel
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
