We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Officer to lead our day-to-day financial operations and support the Accounts & Finance Department. The ideal candidate must be able to handle end-to-end accounting functions, supervise junior staff, and ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations.

About the Role

The Senior Accounts Officer will oversee financial accounting, payables, receivables, payroll coordination, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and monthly reporting. This role will act as a key link between the Accounts team and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Control

• Supervise daily accounting entries and transactions
• Review & post journal entries
• Maintain ledgers, trial balance & financial accuracy
• Support month-end closing activities

2. Accounts Payable

• Verify supplier invoices with PO/GRN
• Process payments within credit terms
• Maintain AP aging and reconcile vendor accounts

3. Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Maintain AR aging within 60 days
• Track collections and update client ledgers
• Coordinate with Sales/Operations for follow-ups

4. Bank, Cash & Petty Cash Management

• Daily bank reconciliation
• Monitor cash flow and balances
• Control petty cash payments and documentation

5. VAT & Compliance

• Prepare VAT returns and supporting schedules
• Ensure timely statutory filings
• Assist in internal & external audits

6. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS reports (P&L, balance sheet, cost analysis)
• Assist in budgeting & forecasting
• Submit variance and financial summaries

7. Team Supervision

• Supervise Accounts Assistants
• Review their work and ensure accuracy
• Provide training and maintain workflow discipline

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accountant or Senior Accounts Officer
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting standards
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Immediate joiners will be given priority
