Senior Admissions Representative (Level 3)

Thrive in a fast-paced, student-focused admissions environment

We’re Sonoran Desert Institute and we are seeking an experienced Senior Admissions Representative (Level 3) to join our amazing team

OUR STORY

Sonoran Desert Institute (SDI) has been changing lives since 2000. As a DEAC accredited school, our mission is to provide students with current, industry-driven, quality education, delivered through online distance education and practical applications. SDI is an employee-owned company creating a culture with an ownership mentality at the foundation. We believe in rewarding our employees through the success of the institution. We’re proud to be recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute as a Great Place to Work for three consecutive years 2023, 2024, and 2025. Come be a part of our dynamic organization where you will have the ability to impact the lives of others as they pursue their educational journey with us.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This isn't just a job — it's a front-line mission. Every conversation you have has the power to redirect someone's life. We're looking for the rare professional who has the instincts of an enrollment leader with the heart of a coach, who would rather be in the trenches closing enrollments than sitting in a corner office.

The Senior Admissions Representative (Level 3) is SDI's most seasoned enrollment professional — a trusted expert who commands every stage of the enrollment journey with precision, empathy, and drive. You don't need to be managed; you self-manage. You don't avoid hard questions; you ask them first. You don't fear change; you accelerate it.

In this role, you will directly shape SDI's growth by enrolling committed, qualified students into life-changing programs in Firearms Technology and Uncrewed Technology. You will be the standard-bearer for the Admissions team — setting the pace, modeling the right behaviors, and delivering results quarter after quarter.

WHO YOU ARE

You are not average — and you know it. Here's what defines you:

A natural enroller who genuinely cares about the student's outcome — the path to graduation is always front and center on every call
Someone who thinks like a leader but thrives in the trenches, doing the work, making the calls, winning the day
Energized by change — you adapt fast, ask questions early, and use ambiguity as a competitive advantage
Obsessively curious about what makes a prospective student tick, what their real fear is, and what outcome they're chasing
Accountable to a fault — you don't make excuses, you find solutions
A student of your craft: you study your metrics, listen to your own calls, and proactively seek feedback
Competitive in the best way — you want to win, and you want your teammates to win too

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Drive Enrollments & Own Your Pipeline

Consistently meet or exceed individual enrollment targets and KPIs month over month
Manage a high-volume lead pipeline across phone, email, text, and Live Chat with urgency and precision
Conduct compelling, discovery-led interviews that uncover student goals, assess fit, and build trust
Guide prospective students through every stage, inquiry to enrollment to first day, with zero gaps

Deliver a World-Class Student Experience

Provide one-on-one, personalized consultation that makes every student feel heard and valued
Act as the bridge between prospective students, Financial Services, and Student Success teams
Accurately and enthusiastically represent all SDI programs, never overpromising, always delivering clarity
Ensure a frictionless handoff to Student Success so no student falls through the cracks post-enrollment

Raise the Standard for the Admissions Team

Model best-in-class recruitment methodology and help teammates level up through example
Proactively identify process inefficiencies
Participate fully in team meetings, coaching calls, and one-on-ones with a growth mindset
Leverage deep SDI product knowledge to elevate every interaction and mentor newer reps

Operate with Integrity & Compliance

Ensure all interactions reflect SDI's commitment to ethical enrollment and regulatory compliance (DEAC, Department of Education, ATF, DOD, State of Arizona, VA, and all applicable agencies)
Process student applications and documentation with accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
Maintain and optimize your lead database; clean data drives better outcomes
