As part of our continued U.S. expansion, we are seeking an experienced Senior Air Freight Operations & Customer Service Specialist to join our growing JFK team.

Position Overview

This is a senior hands-on operational role responsible for managing daily air freight import and export operations across multiple U.S. gateways, primarily JFK, DFW, and ORD, while coordinating closely with our Los Angeles office.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Wiseway USA’s airfreight growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily air import and export shipments
• Liaise with airlines, GSAs, co-loaders, truckers, warehouses, overseas agents, and customers
• Monitor airline bookings, cargo cut-offs, transfers, and shipment milestones
• Coordinate customs clearance and final delivery arrangements
• Prepare and review shipping documentation including HAWB, MAWB, manifests, and customs-related documents
• Proactively resolve shipment delays, exceptions, and customer issues
• Ensure timely and professional communication with customers and overseas partners
• Support operational process improvement and system development
• Assist in training junior staff as the business grows

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in international air freight forwarding
• Strong experience in both air import and export operations
• Experience with JFK air freight operations preferred
• Strong understanding of airline cargo handling, GSAs, cut-off times, and cargo movement processes
• Mandarin Chinese and English fluency required
• Bachelor degree preferred
• Experience with CargoWise preferred
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $53,469.91 - $64,393.87 per year
