Key Responsibilities
Algorithm Development
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced pathfinding, routing, and optimization algorithms for indoor and outdoor navigation, geo-spatial analytics, and asset tracking applications.
- Apply deep expertise in graph theory, combinatorial optimization, operations research, and heuristic/metaheuristic algorithms (e.g., Genetic Algorithms, A*, Dijkstra, Simulated Annealing, Ant Colony, etc.) to tackle challenges such as dynamic routing, traffic-based optimization, multi-modal navigation, and map data accuracy.
- Develop scalable, high-performance solutions for real-time location intelligence, fleet routing, and delivery optimization use cases.
- Build and maintain benchmarking frameworks to evaluate speed, precision, and robustness of algorithms under varying geographic and operational conditions (urban, rural, multi-floor, etc.).
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Partner with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to deploy algorithms in production-grade systems.
- Provide technical mentorship and lead code reviews to ensure high-quality, optimized code delivery.
- Support field deployment and debugging of algorithmic systems in real-world map and routing scenarios.
- Document algorithmic design decisions, performance benchmarks, and system architecture for cross-team alignment.
Client & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a technical liaison between clients, product, and engineering teams, translating business needs into algorithmic solutions.
- Train internal and client teams on optimization tools, data pipelines, and routing workflows.
- Communicate findings, trade-offs, and performance outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- MSc/PhD in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in optimization, routing, geo/mapping systems, or spatial algorithm development.
- Strong programming proficiency in C++ or C#
- Deep understanding of:
- Optimization techniques: Linear/Integer Programming, Constraint Programming, Metaheuristics, or ML-based Optimization.
- Proven experience integrating and tuning optimization/routing models in production-scale, real-time systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.
