Nasdaq Technology Calypso RnD Department is seeking a highly-motivated Business Analyst with experience in Post-Trade Processing, Clearing Operations and/or Collateral Management to assist in the developing of our Clearing Platform, to join the Mumbai technology center in India. As a Business Analyist, working as part of the Operations Clearing Product Team and work closely with the Engineering and QA Team. The role will also involve interactions with the client and other market participants to gather requirements within the FinTech industry.

We are now looking for a Business Analyst in ETD Product Management to strengthen the Clearing Operation team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for driving the Projects and task execution as a individual role of central initiatives across the Nasdaq Calypso Market Technology portfolio of Software Products and Software Services for Market Infrastructure Operations and New Markets.

With this position we offer
The main objective for the ETD Clearing Operation team in Mumbai is to enhance software solution as per current evolving Market requirements and standards and interact and connect with various CCPs and clients to enhance the solution and maintaince the existing functtionalties are working. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of enhancements and supporting rearchitecture of the enterprise products and features to the existing and new software paradigms.
Your role and responsibilities:
An opportunity! To work various teams across the globe, delivering critical solutions and services to world-leading Market Infrastructure Operators and New Markets. You will be responsible for crucial Product management activities and internal customer interaction, often working closely with Developer, QA, Product Support and User guide documentation team building strong relations to present the requirements and maintain the user guides updated.
In this role, you will work in a strong expert team delivering complex technology solutions to international clients. Working closely with your colleagues in Mumbai, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
Furthermore, you will:
  • Articulate document with mockup design wherever it is required to present to Developer and QA for the implement in new of new/existing CCP and client requirement on new/existing application software for clearing products and functions.
  • Need to know end to end ETD Clearing operations processing such as
    • Trade Give Up/Take Up/Allocation and Matching
    • Average Price trade
    • Block Trade allocation
    • Initial Margin calculation for various margin methodologies
    • Variation Margin calculation
    • Client and Reg Reporting
    • Corporate Action and Trade Lifecycle such as Exercise and Assignment, Expiry process.
    • Liquidation methodology (P&S)
  • The Business Analyst must have relevant work experience in Clearing, Back or Middle Office, Risk Management in a Financial institution or a Fintech software company. The ideal candidate would also have a good understanding of financial products in general with specific focus on Exchange Traded Derivatives (Futures and Options). Within the Product Management group, the Business Analyst will work closely with our internal teams including engineering, QA, product support and customer success to gather requirements, testing features/functionalities and business testing packages.
  • A good understanding of Settlement Processes and Financial Products in general, Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent soft/written communication skills
  • Product Management skills
  • Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, project estimates, schedules, test plans, and functional reviews.
  • Proactively identify the potential problems/issues and address to the developer and QA and get it fixed.
  • Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks.
We expect you to have

  • At least 3-6 years in ETD Clearing Operation profile
  • Expertise in articulating the requirements and detailing the enhanced or changes in user guides.
  • good analytical skill
  • Implement projects independently

Education Qualification
  • Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Is working towards or has graduated with a post graduate degree in Finance.
  • Experience Required: At least 4 years.
