Senior Applications Operations Engineer
Job Description
- Install, administer, monitor, and maintainOracle Database (including Exadata)andMongoDBenvironments.
- Monitor database performance and performoptimization and tuningto ensure high efficiency.
- Manage users, roles, privileges, and implement database security policies, includingEncryption (TDE / CSFLE), Auditing, and LDAP/SSO integration.
- Performbackup and recovery operations, design and maintainDisaster Recovery (DR)plans, and conduct regular restoration testing.
- Execute databaseupgrades and patchingactivities.
- Monitor alerts and logs, respond to incidents and critical failures, and provideRoot Cause Analysis (RCA).
Troubleshoot database issues and manage escalations effectively.
- Collaborate with development teams and data engineers to supportETL and data integration processesand enhance application performance.
- Ensure databasehigh availability, scalability, and service continuity.
- Develop scripts and procedures toautomate recurring maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and plan storage usage, includingpartitioning and data archiving.
- ApplyDevOps practices, supporting automation andCI/CD pipelineswhere applicable.
- Prepare and maintainoperational and troubleshooting guidesfor recurring issues.

Technical Skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Experience in incident management and handling critical production issues.
Proven ability to manage escalations and high-severity incidents.
Strong understanding of system and database performance issues.
Experience working in SLA-driven and production environments.
Ability to analyze logs, alerts, and system behavior to identify issues.
Hands-on experience in issue resolution and operational support.
- Certification in Oracle and MongoDB is a plus.
