The Senior Architect reports to the Head of Architecture but is also accountable to the Delivery Head & Lead in the business/functional domain (aka Matrix Manager) that is being served. The individual is expected to possess deep technical expertise, potential leadership qualities & be solution oriented.

This specific role will serve the Technology Platforms domain that is responsible for implementing and maintaining Tier Zero infrastructure (e.g. Networks, Compute, Data, Integration & Workplace Digitization). It requires doing both – Technical Solutioning & Security keeping Cost Optimization in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions for requirements from platform owners
  • Developing and designing solutions & high-level designs for virtualization technologies, specifically Kubevirt on Open Shift & Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provisioning pipelines
  • Ensuring that all designs are created according to internal ENBD development best practices and architectural patterns used by ENBD that cover Resiliency, Reliability & Security (RRS)
  • 5+ years of experience working with cloud native technologies such as containers, service mesh, Kubernetes/OpenShift and virtualization
  • 3+ years of work experience in Cyber/Information Security and knowledge of how to bake in security controls into designs, specifically virtualization technologies like Kubevirt
  • Strong all-round knowledge of infrastructure technologies including but not limited to Kubervirt on OpenShift, general virtualization & container (Kubernetes on OpenShift) technologies, Infrastructure Provisioning technologies like Terraform & Ansible, Linux based Operating Systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) , Oracle Linux Virtual Manager (OLVM) & Windows based technologies such as Windows Server & Active Directory
  • Experience with building end-end design patterns & solutions by ensuring a balance of performance, resiliency, reliability & security including but not limited to competencies around capacity management, resilient architectures and security hardening.
  • Deep understanding of architectural patterns like micro-services & well-architected cloud design principles including but not limited to operational excellence, security, reliability and cost optimization.
  • Deep understanding of security concepts like Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, Logging/Monitoring, Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security & Regulations such as PCI-DSS
  • Strong knowledge of cryptographic concepts and key management practices, including encryption standards, key lifecycle management, and secret management solutions.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS & OCI
  • Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, demonstrating the ability to design and integrate secure identity frameworks across enterprise systems.
  • Intermediate understanding of networking concepts, including network segmentation, VLANs, routing, and zero-trust network design, to ensure secure and efficient system architecture
  • Delivery focused while ensuring the right balance of Customer Experience, Business Requirements, Performance, Reliability & Security & Cost.
