Senior Associate

Position Summary

Job Summary: - This is a position where you will get hands-on experience as Data Engineer involving a cutting-edge technology. Work on Data-lake processing framework maintenance and enhancement. Communicate directly with business users to implementing analytics algorithms using advanced technologies like Python, DataIku, Snowflake. Technically contribute to improve design, business rules and performance of client business processes.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities: -

• Participates in requirements gathering and research, proposes technology solutions, and develops solutions within agreed upon timelines. Understand the underlying data and flow of data.
• Design, implement, and support data warehousing – implement business rules via stored procedures, middleware or other technologies; define user interfaces and functional specifications
• Design and implement OLTP and OLAP data models
• Build ETL pipelines with ability to implement complex business rules
• Evaluate, design, and maintain multiple database environments; identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams, and document the process; write codes for database access, modifications and constructions including stored procedures and database server configuration
• Well versed with SQL and PL/SQL with ability to create, debug, optimize store procedures / SQL statements
• Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues
• Resolve performance issues by looking at query plans, create appropriate indexes, resolve dead locks, and create table hints
• Closely work with other IT teams including Analysts and Product Managers to troubleshoot, modify, and enhance existing BI assets
• Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases
• Implement SDLC processes including creating STTM documents, system design, code reviews, deployment plans, enhancements, status reporting etc
• Client engagement including requirements management, user acceptance
• Provide hypercare and production support of implemented data engineering solution
• Impact assessment, incident/problem management, change request estimation and implementation
• Automation and continuous improvement

Some working exposure to BI platform like Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy or Qlik is desirable

Education

Work Experience

Job Requirements: -

3-8 years of hands on ETL operations experience in the following tools/skills

• Cloud based data lake implementations e.g., AWS technologies, Snowflake,Databricks, Python.
• Enthusiasm to design and build Analytics solutions across multiple tools e.g., Matillion / DataIku / Python etc.
• Quick learning and Data debugging ability to spot technical issues in commercial data
• In manager role, the associate will have additional responsibility to work with multiple business users. This requires planning, tracking, and reporting of data load / enhancements to Client manager
• rich experience in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Domain.
• the candidate should be able to create ETL design, implement, deliver complex ETL code for simple to complex Data Integration/ Data Warehousing project assignments.
• Ability to handle pressure and multitask.

Excellent communication skills (must be able to independently interact with client, onshore and business managers)
