Position Overview

The Senior Associate – Accounts will be responsible for independently managing accounting assignments, preparing financial statements, and supporting clients through onsite visits when required. The role requires strong accounting concepts, hands-on experience in audit firm environments, and the ability to convert trial balances or raw data (Excel files) into accurate, compliant financial statements.

This position is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Statement Preparation

  • Prepare complete sets of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Notes) in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Convert client-provided trial balances and Excel data into structured financial reports.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and reporting frameworks.

2. Accounting Operations

  • Perform general ledger reviews and reconciliations.
  • Handle accruals, adjustments, journal entries, and month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and documentation.

3. Client Visits & Coordination

  • Visit client premises for data collection, discussions, and process understanding (as required).
  • Communicate effectively with client finance teams to gather missing information and clarify queries.
  • Represent the company professionally during client interactions.

4. Audit Support & Compliance

  • Assist in internal and external audit processes, including preparation of schedules and supporting documents.
  • Apply auditing and accounting knowledge gained through audit firm experience.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and organizational accounting policies.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as assigned.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and other ad-hoc financial analysis tasks.

6. Process Improvement & Quality Assurance

  • Identify gaps in client data or processes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure high standards of accuracy and timely delivery of all accounting tasks.
  • Support the enhancement of internal SOPs and documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience in preparing financial statements from TB/raw data
  • Excellent command of MS Excel and accounting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and client-handling skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines with high attention to detail
  • Professional conduct during client visits and meetings

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in an audit firm (mandatory)
  • Experience in financial statement preparation is essential
  • ACCA/CA/ICMA partially qualified is a plus

Timings:

  • Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 07:00 PM
  • Saturday: 11:00 AM – 04:00 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
