Senior Associate Attorney

Role Description

We are seeking a Litigation Attorney to join our Los Angeles, California office. Our dynamic Litigation Practice Groups is known for their comprehensive approach to managing complex the defense of a wide range of defense litigation involving personal injury, wrongful death, premises, products liability, and transportation.

The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of litigation experience. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and clients on the defense of personal injury litigation. This position is hybrid in our Los Angeles, California office in El Segundo.

Essential job duties include:

• Drafting pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Communicating directly with clients, claims adjusters, and witnesses; providing updates and strategic advice to clients.
• Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies.
• Handling all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Defending clients in claims involving personal injury, property damage, medical malpractice, construction, transportation, and product liability.
• Defending cases in civil litigation and in binding arbitration proceedings in both state and federal court.
• Attending court hearings and oral arguments both remotely and in-person.
• Preparing for and mediating cases and/or settlement conferences.

Qualifications

• Active bar license in California
• 3-7 years of litigation and/or civil litigation experience in either state or federal court.
• Experience with trial preparation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional writing, organizational, and advocacy skills
