Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise a team of AV technicians, providing mentorship, training, and guidance to enhance team performance and skills.
· Delegate tasks to ensure that all technical operations are executed smoothly and efficiently.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development for junior technicians.
· Collaborate with management to plan and allocate resources for upcoming events, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and technical personnel.
· Oversee inventory management, including maintaining and ordering AV and interpretation equipment to meet demand.
· Oversee the entire technical process for events, from initial planning through execution and post-event evaluation.
· Collaborate with event organizers, clients, and interpreters to ensure all AV and interpretation requirements are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
· Act as the lead for resolving complex technical issues, ensuring that all AV and interpretation systems function flawlessly during live events.
· Ensure minimal downtime and address any technical challenges that arise during events with quick problem-solving and solutions.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and event organizers regarding technical aspects of AV and interpreting needs.
· Provide technical consultations and recommendations to clients to enhance event outcomes, ensuring all AV and interpreting services align with client expectations.
· Identify areas for improvement in AV and interpretation processes, recommending and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency, safety, and overall service quality.
· Ensure the team follows best practices in AV setup, troubleshooting, and event execution.
· Work closely with the Management to manage budgets for AV and interpretation equipment, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
· Assist with planning and tracking expenses related to AV and interpretation services for events.
· Maintain thorough documentation on equipment usage, event requirements, and technical issues, ensuring that post-event reports are delivered to clients and management.
· Prepare detailed technical reports, performance analyses, and feedback for management review.
Candidate requirements
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an AV Technician, with at least 2 years in a senior role overseeing AV for live events.
· Proven experience working with interpretation systems for multilingual events, including the setup and operation of equipment used for simultaneous interpreting.
· Experience in managing AV needs for a variety of events such as conferences, corporate meetings, live performances, and exhibitions.
· Proficiency with AV equipment, including microphones, projectors, screens, video conferencing tools, and multimedia control systems.
· Knowledge of specialized interpretation equipment (e.g., interpretation booths, transmitters, receivers, and headsets).
· Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues quickly during live events.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, interpreters, and team members.
· Familiarity with event production workflows, including sound mixing, video production, and staging.
· A degree or certification in Audio-Visual Technology, Event Production, or a related field is preferred.
· Training or certification in interpreting or related systems is a plus.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
· Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
· Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
