Key Responsibilities

AWS Cloud & Backend Engineering

Design and Implement Cloud-Native Architectures: Build and scale backend applications using AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and Lake Formation for AI, analytics, and Big Data workloads.
AWS Data Services Expertise: Develop and optimize data pipelines using S3 Data Lake, Glue ETL, Lake Formation governance, Comprehend NLP, and streaming services.
API Development:
Build secure, scalable REST and WebSocket streaming APIs using FastAPI and AWS API Gateway.
Integrate with Generative AI services, AWS Bedrock, knowledgebases, vector stores, and internal microservices.
AWS Bedrock & GenAI Integration:
Implement LLM-powered applications, embedding pipelines, RAG/knowledgebase systems, and AI-driven workflows.

Application Management & Deployment

Ensure scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant deployments using Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, and ECS.
Implement CORS configuration, authentication, and secure gateway policies.
Build asynchronous and streaming backend systems using WebSockets and event-driven architectures.

Security & Compliance

Enforce security using IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, Macie, GuardDuty, and AWS Shield.
Ensure safe handling and governance of sensitive data.

Infrastructure & DevOps

Define infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
Monitor and optimize backend performance using CloudWatch and X-Ray.

Collaboration

Work with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and SMEs to translate business requirements into scalable backend systems.
Participate in architectural and code reviews.

Qualifications (Mandatory)

The candidate must have proven experience in the following areas:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
6–9 years of backend development experience with deep expertise in AWS.
Strong proficiency in Python and backend engineering (preferably FastAPI).
Mandatory hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock.
Mandatory experience building REST & WebSocket streaming APIs.
Mandatory expertise with AWS API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, Glue, Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, and Lake Formation.
Strong experience building Knowledgebase / RAG systems and embedding pipelines.
Expertise in CORS setup, authentication, and secure API development.
Hands-on implementation of serverless backend architectures.
Strong understanding of AI/Big Data application patterns using AWS-managed services.
Experience with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
AWS Certifications (Architect or Developer) are preferred.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and system design skills.
