Senior Bartender/Mixologist

Coast 236 Restaurant & Bar in Saugatuck is looking for a Senior Bartender/Mixologist to join our team. We are a James Beard recognized restaurant that is looking to take the next steps with our bar program to make the Coast 236 experience one of a kind. Candidates must have extensive beverage experience serving high end craft cocktails, classic cocktails, wine & beverages. Experience in collaborating on seasonal menus is required of this position. We are looking with someone with a passion for mixology. This position is also a TIPPED POSITION. Please respond with a resume and cover letter for consideration.

Qualifications

• Proven bartending and mixology experience with a strong knowledge of cocktails and wines
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha and Micros
• Strong time management and sales abilities
• Experience in fine dining and banquet settings
• Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
• Basic math skills for cash register operations and retail transactions

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails and beverages, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and making personalized recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
• Stay knowledgeable about wine selections and cocktail ingredients to enhance guest experiences.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during busy service periods to ensure timely food and drink delivery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
