Our Shared Services team, which includes People Operations, Finance, IT and Security, and Contracts, provides internal services and support across Ad Hoc. Shared Services works to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of services provided to the company's various teams and business units. By streamlining and standardizing support, Shared Services allows teams and business units to focus on their core business functions and achieve greater effectiveness internally and with the agencies they support.
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as an experienced individual contributor within a team, with the expectation that you will further develop your leadership, guidance and mentoring skills. With minimal oversight from leadership, you will be solely responsible for benefits administration operations, supporting and leading effective benefits strategies, and ensuring adherence to organizational processes and policies.
A Senior Benefits Administrator impacts the long-term goals of the department by providing strategic recommendations in support of operational efficiencies. You may serve as the primary lead when working with stakeholders and utilize strong influential skills to drive consensus and assignments to closure. Primary expectations of a Senior Benefits Administrator include:
Administers benefits coordination with employees, vendors & Accounting
Researches, analyzes, and evaluates new and existing benefits programs
Develops benefits plans and programs that are externally competitive and legally compliant
Recommends benefits providers to upper management
Consults with Finance to review and devise cost/benefits analyses; collaborates with HR and Recruiting to ensure that benefits are competitive
Collaborates with the Communications team to develop communications that inform employees of benefit options
Understands current regulations and stays abreast of changes to ensure benefit programs remain compliant
Exhibits discretion due to the sensitivity associated with benefits data
Participates by gathering data for annual audits ie discrimination testing, 5500 audit, 401K etc.
May meet with benefits vendors for annual policy review
May assist in the administration of benefits programs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
Relevant years of experience may be substituted
Experience with benefits systems
Experience in benefits management and administration

In support of various state and city equal pay transparency laws, Ad Hoc job descriptions feature the starting range we reasonably expect to pay to candidates who would join our team with little to no need for training on the responsibilities we've outlined above. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility.
