BASIC PURPOSE:
The Senior Benefits Partner is responsible for the design, administration, and continuous improvement of the company’s health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs for approximately 350 full-time employees. This role ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, optimizes benefit processes for efficiency, and enhances employee understanding and satisfaction through effective communication and program delivery. The ideal candidate will combine technical benefits expertise with a strategic mindset to strengthen employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee day-to-day administration of all aspects of the employee benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, life insurance, disability, employee assistance, and wellness.
Oversee all day-to-day administration of all qualified and non-qualified retirement plans including pension, 401k, and deferred compensation.
Partner with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators to ensure high-quality service delivery, timely issue resolution, and cost-effective plan design.
Plans, coordinates, and executes annual benefits enrollment and retiree update processes.
Assists with legally required audit, filing, and testing activities for all health benefits and retirement plans.
Ensures all benefits programs comply with and are operated in accordance with SEC, FMLA, ADA, FASB, ERISA, Workers’ Compensation, and HIPAA regulations.
Assists in preparation and maintenance of all summary plan descriptions and summaries of material modifications for all benefits plans.
Develops and delivers engaging benefit communications and education initiatives that improve employee understanding, participation, and satisfaction. Supports all retirement plan administration, including payroll file management, nondiscrimination testing, compliance, and employee education.
Identifies, develops, and implements process enhancements to streamline benefit administration, enrollment, and reporting functions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field, and five to seven years of direct experience administering benefits plans, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
In-depth understanding of health and welfare plans, retirement plan administration, and related regulatory requirements. Detailed knowledge of compliance requirements is preferred.
Proficiency with HRIS (Workday) and benefits administration systems; strong Excel and data analysis skills. Benefits administration system plan setup and testing is preferred.
Project management experience is required. Experience planning and executing annual enrollment is preferred.
Work Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Atlanta, GA office. This position may not be filled in New Jersey, either in-person or remotely.
Work Schedule: Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially.
