Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

  • Monthly bookkeeping for small business clients
  • Bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
  • Transaction categorization and account maintenance
  • Reviewing bookkeeping work for accuracy and completeness
  • Preparation of financial statements and management reports
  • Assisting with bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up projects
  • Payroll processing support and payroll reconciliations
  • Sales tax and franchise tax support
  • Client communication regarding bookkeeping questions and missing information
  • Working within QuickBooks Online
  • Assisting with implementation and use of TaxDome workflows and systems
  • Supporting firm growth and process improvement initiatives

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong QuickBooks Online experience required
  • Ability to independently complete monthly reconciliations
  • Experience working with multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional communication skills
  • Accounting, tax firm, or bookkeeping firm experience preferred
  • Effective communicator capable of explaining complex financial concepts clearly across teams or during audits.

Position Details

  • Part-Time W-2 Employee
  • Approximately 20-30 hours per week initially
  • Opportunity for additional hours as client assignments grow
  • Hybrid or remote flexibility available for the right candidate
  • Compensation: $25–$35 per hour depending on experience
  • 401(k) eligibility after applicable waiting period
