Shannon Martin Design is an award-winning stationery and gift brand with a strong, established point of view. We’re a small, collaborative team that values thoughtful work, attention to detail, and a consistent, well-executed brand presence.

This role starts at 24 - 28 hours per week, with potential to grow over time.

Location: Seattle-based preferred; hybrid or remote considered for the right candidate.

Role Overview

Works within an established visual identity, bringing thoughtful refinement, strong judgment, and a clear, discerning eye to the brand across all channels. Works as part of a small, collaborative team, partnering with Creative Direction, Marketing, Project Management, and Sales, to ensure the brand is presented with clarity and consistency across all channels.

Responsibilities

• Design across catalogs, e-blasts, social media, trade show, and sales materials
• Translate creative direction into cohesive, on-brand visual work
• Maintain and elevate the visual consistency of an established award-winning brand
• Contribute to product and collection design
• Build templates and maintain visual consistency across all assets
• Support product launches with thoughtful, well-executed visual materials
• Prepare and hand off files for print and digital production

How This Role Works

This role works closely with Marketing, Project Management, Sales, Production Support, and Creative Direction as part of a small, collaborative team. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, organization, and attention to detail, maintaining a high bar for quality and consistency without requiring close day-to-day oversight.

This position is best suited for someone who enjoys working within an established brand - thoughtfully refining, refreshing, and elevating the visual direction rather than reinventing it.

Creative Direction provides high-level alignment and final approval at key milestones.

Qualifications

• Sophisticated typography and layout skills
• Strong design skills with a refined eye and clear point of view
• Experience in both print and digital design
• Portfolio demonstrating strong typography, layout, and execution
• Comfortable working within an established brand
• Organized, reliable, and self-directed
• Experience in a product-based, gift and stationery, lifestyle, or consumer brand is a plus

Compensation

$50–$60/hour part-time, depending on experience and the strength of your portfolio.

This role will begin with a 90-day freelance contract trial period to ensure a strong mutual fit, with the goal of transitioning into a long-term employee position for the right candidate.
