Position Overview
The Senior Business Analyst will play a key strategic role in driving data-driven decision-making, improving operational efficiency, and supporting organizational growth. The role involves analyzing business performance, designing process improvements, and providing actionable insights to management for policy formulation and program enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Strategy Support
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
- Develop business models, forecasts, and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities in the microfinance sector.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop short- and long-term business strategies.
2. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Evaluate existing workflows, lending processes, and data systems to identify inefficiencies.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Support automation and digitization initiatives across branches and departments.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Design and maintain dashboards and performance metrics for business units and field operations.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports, impact assessment reports, and board presentations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for credit operations, portfolio quality, and financial sustainability.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Field Teams to ensure data accuracy and process alignment.
- Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and data validation exercises.
- Assist project teams in defining business requirements for new systems or digital tools.
5. Stakeholder & Impact Analysis
- Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of community programs.
- Conduct impact studies to measure the social and financial effectiveness of microfinance initiatives.
- Engage with external partners, funders, and regulators for data-driven reporting and project proposals.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Certification in Business Analysis or Data Analytics (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, financial analytics, or operations within the microfinance, NBFC, or development sector.
- Proven experience in data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and SQL (preferred).
- Knowledge of MIS systems, loan management software, and data visualization tools.
- Understanding of microfinance operations, credit risk analysis, and impact metrics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
