Senior Business Analyst

Aleknagik Technology, LLC is seeking a highly qualified Senior Business Analyst to support Defense Health Agency (DHA) initiatives in a hybrid work environment based in Falls Church, VA. The ideal candidate will provide advanced analytical support, develop data-driven insights using tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and collaborate with government stakeholders to improve business processes and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements from DHA stakeholders
• Translate business needs into actionable insights and recommendations
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau
• Perform data analysis and visualization to support leadership decision-making
• Conduct process modeling, workflow analysis, and business case development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical staff and government personnel
• Support strategic planning, performance metrics tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with contract requirements, DHA standards, and organizational objectives

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a general business-related field OR
• If no degree, a minimum of three (3) additional years of experience as a Business Analyst

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst
• Experience supporting DoD military and/or civilian customers, preferably DHA

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and generate insights
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in:
• • Power BI and Tableau (data visualization, dashboard development, reporting)
  • Data analysis tools and techniques
  • Process modeling tools (e.g., Visio)
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and solution development
• Strong business acumen, including understanding of:
• • Business operations
  • Financial principles
  • Federal/DoD environments
• Ability to build relationships and effectively manage stakeholder expectations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA)
• Familiarity with healthcare systems, data, or military health operations
• Experience in federal contracting environments
• Experience developing executive-level dashboards and data storytelling using Power BI and Tableau

Work Environment

• Hybrid work environment (combination of on-site and remote work)
• On-site work performed in Falls Church, VA (DHA facilities)
• Collaboration with government personnel and distributed teams
