Employment Type: C2C / W2Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to support complex business and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in business analysis, quality assurance, and Agile methodologies, along with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user needs, and system processes
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Perform quality assurance on user stories to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Analyze program policies and procedures to assess impact on system functionality
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews
- Review and contribute to project deliverables such as project charters, test plans, and risk assessments
- Develop test cases, validate system functionality, and support UAT activities
- Troubleshoot system issues and recommend effective solutions
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for users
- Manage relationships with vendors and review deliverables and service performance
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business analysis and quality assurance
- At least 3 years of experience working in Agile environments
- Strong experience in user story creation, backlog management, and Agile ceremonies
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience coordinating with vendors and managing project deliverables
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience reviewing technical documentation including test plans, design documents, and risk assessments
Preferred Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience working with state or government systems
- Experience with licensing systems and lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of end-to-end system implementation and support

- Candidates must be local to Austin, TX and available to work onsite
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
