Senior Business Analyst (payroll projects)

Overview

We’re working with a large, well-established organisation undergoing a major transformation across its finance and payroll systems. They are looking to hire a Senior IT Business Analyst to play a key role in delivering high-impact initiatives, including a payroll system migration and end-to-end process improvement programme.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and can bridge the gap between business and technical teams.

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 + Bonus + Benefits

What You’ll Be Doing

• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications
• Lead process mapping and process improvement initiatives (current vs future state, workflows, data flows)
• Apply formal process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, SIPOC) to drive efficiency and standardisation
• Work closely with stakeholders across finance, payroll, operations, and IT
• Support key transformation projects, including payroll system migration and process redesign
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure successful delivery
• Contribute to UAT, change management, and stakeholder adoption

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex, process-driven environments
• Strong background in process mapping and formal process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, SIPOC, BPMN)
• Experience working with finance, accounting, or payroll-related systems/processes
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured, actionable requirements
• Experience working across cross-functional teams (business + IT)
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with operational teams
