JOB OBJECTIVE:
To support the Business Development Middle East team across a multitude of activities with a primary focus on business development, establish and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders including existing and potential customers, consultants, lenders, supply chain partners, service providers and various government or industry organizations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Investment Analysis

Prepare proposals and offers for customers which are comprehensive in scope and compelling in their presentation to ensure the customer sees the full value of working. Basis customer proposals and discussions to prepare investment committee, finance and other board presentations for investment decision making.

Conduct needed due diligence activities of potentialinvestments as well as on going plant investment reviews via financial modelling and risk analysis.

Support the team through structuring, contract negotiation, financing and project development process for execution of new project wins.

Work collaboratively with various departments across the parent company, especially the Development, Engineering, Projects, Finance and O&M functions in leveraging the group’s capabilities to proposing fit for purpose solutions to customers.

Support ongoing government, regulatory body or otherkey industry participants engagement activities being led and managed by the team to condition the market for a future pipeline of district cooling opportunities.

Maintain relationships with customers and support indeveloping new relationships. This would involve being fully aware of service offerings and the latest trends in the industry to offer relevant insight and advice to customers.
Business Development Support

Continuously review market opportunities.

Take part in commercial negotiations with potential clients.

Identify and source connection opportunities to existing Assets.

Work with Projects and Engineering departments todevelop technical solutions for newprojects.

Coordinate with external advisors and consultants
-
Ability to build independently and review financial models for new projects and ensure minimum investment criteria are met for all projects.

Produce analysis of risks associated with new projects.

Present new projects in Investment Committees.

Support in handover of the projects from Business development to Asset management
Financing Support

Support in SPV project financing, acquisition financing, and hedging strategy for Greenfield and M&A transactions on a non/limited recourse basis to optimize capital structure.

Perform financial and business analysis, in support of corporate business plans, new business development projects, pricing alternative, and other business strategies.

Review the legal documentation on all the financing documents (in liaison with Legal Dept. and Treasury Dept.).

Follow all relevant Department/Unit policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Ensuring the organization adheres to legal frameworks in areas such as discipline & grievance, redundancy, and employment law.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Finance or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
-
5 years’ Experience in Investment Banking, Development Function or Management Consultancy roles with a top tier Organization.

3 years’ Experience in Energy Utilities including Renewables, Power, Gas or Waste Management Organizations.
