The Senior Business Development Manager is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving sustainable financial growth and market expansion. You will be responsible for identifying high-value opportunities, architecting strategic partnerships, and leading complex negotiations. In the context of Qatar’s 2026 economic landscape, this role requires a deep understanding of local market dynamics, a robust professional network, and the ability to align commercial goals with the country’s digital and industrial transformation initiatives
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute a multi-year business development strategy to increase market share and revenue.
- Identify emerging trends and underserved segments within the [Insert Industry, e.g., Construction, Tech, or Energy] sector in Qatar.
- Conduct comprehensive competitor analysis to position the company as a market leader.
2. High-Value Partnerships & Deal Structuring
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex deals, from initial prospecting and lead generation to contract finalization.
- Negotiate intricate multi-party agreements, ensuring optimal risk-adjusted returns and long-term viability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for "Tier 1" clients and government stakeholders.
3. Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain a healthy and transparent sales pipeline using modern CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly forecasts to the executive leadership team.
- Leverage data analytics to optimize lead conversion rates and identify bottlenecks in the sales cycle.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure that new business offerings align with delivery capabilities.
- Mentor junior BDM staff and lead cross-functional project teams during the implementation phase of new contracts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 10+ years of proven success in business development or strategic sales, with at least 3 years in the Qatar/GCC market.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing. An MBA is highly preferred.
- Negotiation Excellence: Advanced ability to handle high-stakes negotiations and close multi-million QAR contracts.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Qatar's regulatory environment and local business etiquette.
- Language: Native or professional fluency in English. Professional proficiency in Arabic is a distinct competitive advantage.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in interpreting complex data sets to drive commercial decision-making (familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is a plus).
Pay: QAR125.00 - QAR186.00 per hour
