We are looking for a (Senior) Business Development Manager (S/BDM) to be part of the team at Enterprise Singapore’s Riyadh Overseas Centre (OC), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Riyadh OC’s primary role is to provide in-market assistance to Singapore-based companies looking to expand their international footprint to the Middle East, specifically the markets of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait, by identifying and developing opportunities there, and facilitating Singapore companies’ market entry through export, investment, joint ventures, and other business alliances. In addition, the team also cultivates and attract international traders to be based in Singapore.

Market Intelligence and Business Development

Lead and support work related to identifying and facilitating business opportunities for Singapore companies in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait, including engagement with relevant stakeholders such as government agencies, local partners and industry clients.

Monitor the business environment and provide up-to-date market intelligence, including sector- and region-specific research and analysis to identify project and investment opportunities.

Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across sectors by tracking key growth areas and emerging trends.

Plan, organise and execute marketing trips, business missions and related activities to support Singapore companies’ market entry and expansion efforts.

Prepare market reports and insights to strengthen Singapore companies’ understanding of the operating landscape in the region.
Strategic Partnership Development

Identify, establish, maintain, and cultivate strategic relationships and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders in-market, to generate leads, facilitate business matching and support market expansion efforts.

Contribute to the development and implementation of engagement strategies with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and improve market access.

Promote Singapore as a vibrant trading and innovation hub through stakeholder engagements and market-facing initiatives.

Support the Regional Director in Riyadh and Singapore HQ on strategic initiatives and regional priorities.

Travel frequently within Saudi Arabia and to Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait for stakeholder engagement, market development, and business activities.
What You’ll Be Using and Applying
-
Experience in business development, market analysis, marketing, and/or related fields, with more than 4 years of relevant working experience and an interest in international trade and investment promotion.

Experience in working overseas, with foreign government and/or multinational organisations, and in client and external stakeholder relationship management, will be an advantage.

Experience in trade and investment promotion services, and/or familiarity with official bilateral engagements will be an advantage.

Experience in sectors such as Infrastructure, Urban Solutions, Energy, Logistics, Digital and Innovation will be an advantage.

Ability to apply strong analytical and research skills to conduct accurate analysis and compile concise, clear reports and presentations in a work setting.

Ability to apply Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in a work setting.
