Description:
We are looking for a solid candidate that would like to join a solid Team at Eagle.
The Senior Buyer provides parts, equipment, and materials by developing sources of supply and monitoring supplier performance. The Senior Buyer works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to solve real-time manufacturing or engineering related problems related to supply of parts, components and materials. The Senior Buyer exhibits a higher level of understanding of process flow, part and component requirements and general product knowledge through experience.
Duties and responsibilities

Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.

Process daily procurement requirements into purchase orders.

Authorize payment for purchases by reviewing invoices and entering those invoices into ERP.

Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and maintain healthy business communications.

Negotiate pricing and terms with current and new suppliers, both for spot purchases and long-term supply arrangements.

Communicate with suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.

Prepare reports and updates as required.

Performs any related duties as required or assigned to ensure efficiency of the Company.

Conducts commodity sourcing events through requests for information, analysis, requests for quotations, negotiation, feedback and final awards of business.

Conducts scheduled supplier reviews grading suppliers on Quality, Delivery and Overall Value to the company.

Communicates and manages supply disruptions that may negatively impact normal business operations. Keeps management and impacted departments informed of issues and progress of actions taken to mitigate such impacts.

Performs Supplier audits and manages supplier approval process for new suppliers.

Manages purchase order inspect processes with Receiving department personnel to maintain adequate flow of parts and materials and timely receipt of deliveries.
Requirements:
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or other related discipline; or five (5) years of equivalent work experience in engineering or purchasing.

Minimum three (3) years of experience with the company or three (3) years prior management experience in engineering, manufacturing or supply chain.

Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Ability to demonstrate solid verbal and written communication skills, professional ethics, tact and courtesy dealing with vendors.

Ability to lead and conduct meetings with internal colleagues and suppliers.

Strong negotiating skills required.

Efficient organization and time-management skills required.
