We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and enjoy supporting others to live with dignity and independence, we would love to hear from you.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced care professional who is ready to take on a leadership role, support junior staff, and help ensure our residents receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Care Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the home
- Take lead responsibility during shifts when required
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Promote the health, wellbeing and dignity of residents
- Liaise with healthcare professionals such as GPs, District Nurses and SALT teams
- Lead and mentor junior care staff
- Ensure care plans are followed and deliver person-centred care
- Help create a safe, warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
- Support residents with daily activities and social engagement
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this qualification
- Experience working in a care home or similar setting
- Knowledge of safe medication administration
- Caring, reliable and professional attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for supporting older people
- Willingness to undertake training and professional development
- Successful DBS check
