Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Agency Program Supervisor, the Senior Center Supervisor manages the daily operations of a community-based Senior Center. The position oversees Older Americans Act (OAA) Title III services, including social support services and congregate and home-delivered meals for elders.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Agency Program Supervisor, performs duties of moderate difficulty with responsibility for managing Senior Center operations within a community chapter. Administers Older Americans Act (OAA) Title III services, including Social Support Services, Congregate Meals, and Home-Delivered Meals for the elder population.
Manages all service, fiscal, and human resource components of the Senior Center, including but not limited to food purchasing; ensuring the preparation of nutritious meals; processing requisitions; managing chapter cost-sharing; providing technical assistance to the local senior council; ensuring code compliance; coordinating employee and volunteer training; handling correspondence; maintaining accurate records and reports; ensuring compliance with contractual services; and overseeing employee discipline and promotions.
Provides reports to chapter planning committees and completes monthly inventories and monitoring to ensure contract compliance, Statements of Work (SOW), and performance measures. Assists cooks and drivers as an incidental duty.
Promotes elders’ standards of living, productivity, and self-reliance through communication, collaboration, coordination, and consultation with appropriate agencies, programs, and resources. Engages in community-based planning and implementation for the chapter community, task force committees, and other future planning initiatives.
Ensures all required documentation is submitted to the Agency office in a timely manner for approval and processing. Assists with case management and clientele eligibility assessments (ASCAP), attends all required meetings and training sessions, and participates in budget planning to ensure the effective operation of the Senior Center.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; three (3) years of experience in office management or administration of elderly services, one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
  • Posses a valid state driver’s license.

  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends as required
  • May be required to demonstrate fluency in Navajo and English
