Senior Chemist

Global Edge Consultants, LLC, Corpus Christi, TX seeks a Senior Chemist responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive laboratory procedures to support the seamless transition from EPC to operational phases at LNG facilities. This includes establishing sampling, testing, analysis, reporting, and chemical management protocols. The Senior Chemist will conduct detailed analyses of a wide range of sample types, including LNG composition, dewpoints of natural gas and related gases, produced and waste water, amine solutions, NGLs, condensate, and oil conditions (e.g., viscosity, particulate matter, ferrographic analysis).


The role involves collecting, cleaning, and analyzing samples from various sources such as vaporized LNG, high-pressure feed gases, mixed-phase liquids, refrigerants, and demineralized water. The Senior Chemist ensures high data quality and integrity, operates laboratory equipment for timely and accurate analyses, and generates summary reports. Out-of-specification results are discussed with engineering and operations for resolution and approval.


Additional responsibilities include maintaining Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), automating routine reports, responding to data requests, and ensuring regulatory and standards compliance (ISO, GPA, ASTM, ISO 17025). The Senior Chemist collaborates closely with engineering, operations, and data teams to monitor lab performance, troubleshoot systems, optimize processes, and implement improvements that support energy efficiency and cost savings. This position also contributes to knowledge-sharing systems, supports HSSE policies, and helps lead laboratory team coordination and mentoring efforts.


Minimum Requirements:


Education: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or a related field.


Experience: 4 years of experience in the job offered.


Special Requirements: At least 12 months of experience with:

– Gas Chromatography (GC)

– Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP)

– Ion Chromatography (IC)

– Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis


Must also demonstrate proficiency in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data management and reporting, and experience with quality management systems such as ISO 17025, including method validation and instrument calibration.


Travel within the U.S. required up to 10% of the time.
