Senior Client Account Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and leadership-driven Senior Client Account Manager to manage high-value agency partnerships and drive long-term account growth. This role requires ownership of enterprise-level accounts, strategic thinking, structured execution, and strong commercial awareness.

As a senior member of the account management team, you will act as a trusted advisor to agency partners while collaborating closely with internal delivery teams to ensure operational excellence, retention, and scalable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Leadership
    • Own and manage key agency accounts as the primary strategic partner.

    • Develop long-term account growth strategies aligned with client business objectives.
    • Drive retention, expansion, and revenue growth across managed accounts.
  • Advanced Project & Delivery Oversight
    • Oversee multiple complex digital projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Provide strategic direction to Project Managers and cross-functional teams.
    • Identify risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges early and implement mitigation plans.
    • Ensure seamless collaboration across design, development, QA, and marketing teams.
  • Revenue & Account Growth Management
    • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and new service opportunities within existing accounts.
    • Lead proposal development, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and renewals.
    • Monitor account profitability, forecasting accuracy, and performance metrics.
    • Collaborate with leadership on revenue planning and business expansion strategies.
  • Client Communication & Executive Reporting
    • Lead executive-level meetings, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and performance discussions.
    • Present strategic roadmaps, analytics insights, and growth recommendations.
    • Ensure communication remains proactive, structured, and solution-oriented.
    • Maintain clear documentation of agreements, scope updates, and key decisions.
  • AI & Process Optimization
    • Leverage AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Notion AI, or similar platforms) to enhance reporting, automate meeting summaries, structure proposals, analyze account performance trends, and improve operational efficiency.
    • Drive adoption of AI-powered workflows within the account management function to improve productivity and decision-making quality.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship
    • Mentor and guide Client Account Managers and Coordinators.
    • Establish best practices for account management processes and client communication.
    • Support training initiatives to strengthen strategic thinking and client handling capabilities.

Desired Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Delivery Management, or Project Management within a digital marketing, creative, or web development agency.
  • Strong expertise in WordPress, Shopify, HubSpot, and other eCommerce or SaaS platforms.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level or high-value client accounts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in forecasting, profitability management, and revenue planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Asana, Trello, ClickUp, Basecamp, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with US-based clients and cross-time-zone collaboration.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools and automation platforms to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a white-label agency environment.
  • Exposure to SaaS, enterprise digital transformation, or long-term retainer-based accounts.
  • Advanced understanding of performance analytics and digital marketing KPIs.
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive measurable business impact.
