Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Trauma and Related Services (TRS) Clinical Service unit, for a Band 3 Senior Clinical support Worker role on ward L27, The Multi Speciality Assessment Area (MSAA).

The jobholder will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect compassionate care for patients in support of the multidisciplinary team. The jobholder will be expected to work under the support and supervision of a registered practitioner.

The band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker will be skilled in taking appropriate action(s) to achieve the planned outcome, and will need to have additional skills and competency to support in the assessment and treatment of patients.

MSAA is an exciting, busy and fast paced assessment area for a range of specialties. Patients are referred from primary care, via the Emergency Department, minor injury centres or from other tertiary centres. Patients are assessed by both nursing and medical staff and then either treated and discharged or admitted to the LGI inpatient bed base. The area is currently open 7 days a week from 9am to midnight.
