Senior Cloud Solution Architect – Microsoft Azure

Job Summary
Ideal Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Cloud Solution Architect to lead the architecture, technical readiness, and implementation governance of Microsoft Azure solutions for enterprise and government clients. The role requires a senior hands-on technical leader with proven experience in designing and supporting secure, scalable, and well-governed Azure environments, especially for regulated sectors.

The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting Ideal Solutions’ Microsoft partnership journey by helping ensure strong technical delivery capability from the outset, particularly for the first projects executed under the Microsoft ecosystem.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the design of Microsoft Azure solutions for enterprise and government customers
• Define secure Azure Landing Zones, governance model, and architecture standards
• Design and review Azure identity, access control, networking, security, resilience, and monitoring architecture
• Support implementation planning and oversee technical execution to ensure quality and compliance with approved design
• Work closely with internal IT, infrastructure, security, software, and presales teams during solution shaping and delivery
• Participate in client meetings, technical workshops, requirement discussions, and architecture presentations
• Review technical scope, implementation risks, dependencies, and key assumptions for Azure-related opportunities
• Ensure proper technical documentation is produced, including architecture documents, standards, and operational handover materials
• Support internal capability building and knowledge transfer for Azure-related delivery practices
• Contribute to building a strong delivery reputation for Ideal Solutions within Microsoft-related projects and opportunities

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of overall IT experience
• Minimum 3 years of direct hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure architecture and implementation
• Proven experience delivering Azure projects for enterprise or government clients
• Strong practical experience in Azure architecture, governance, networking, identity, and security
• Strong understanding of secure cloud design principles and regulated-environment requirements
• Experience in Azure Landing Zones, RBAC, policy enforcement, subscription governance, and environment segregation
• Good experience with hybrid cloud connectivity, access management, resilience, and operational readiness
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and management stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as a senior lead resource and provide practical guidance to internal teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated sectors such as government, critical services, security-sensitive environments, or large enterprises
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code and Azure deployment automation
• Experience in technical presales, effort estimation, and architecture review during bid or opportunity stages
• Experience in mentoring technical teams and supporting capability development
• Familiarity with ISO27001-aligned environments and security governance practices

• AZ-305 – Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• AZ-104 – Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• AZ-500 – Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
• SC-900 – Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
• SC-300 – Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• AZ-400 – Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• DP-203 and/or AI-102 are an advantage depending on solution focus
