Senior Collections & Recovery Manager

Job Summary:

Vithey Microfinance & Investment W.L.L. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Collections & Recovery Manager to lead debt recovery strategies, reduce delinquency, and strengthen credit risk management. This role is ideal for a strong leader with a proven track record in collections, portfolio recovery, and financial risk control.

You will play a key role in maximizing recoveries, improving collection processes, and ensuring compliance while maintaining positive customer relationships.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement effective collections and recovery strategies to reduce non-performing accounts
• Manage and oversee collections teams, ensuring targets and KPIs are consistently met
• Monitor delinquency trends and implement corrective actions to improve recovery rates
• Lead negotiations with customers for repayment plans, settlements, and restructuring
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and ethical collection practices
• Collaborate with credit, finance, and legal teams to manage high-risk accounts
• Analyze portfolio performance and generate reports for senior management
• Optimize collections processes through automation, tools, and performance tracking
• Train and mentor team members to improve performance and productivity

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in collections, recovery, or credit risk management
• Proven success in reducing delinquency and improving recovery rates
• Strong knowledge of financial services, lending, and collections processes
• Experience managing teams and high-volume portfolios
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
