The Opportunity:

Nurture Source is looking for their next Senior Construction Project Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, Senior Construction Project Managers are trusted with the responsibility of managing home renovation projects from start to finish. This includes making sure the budget, timeline, and scope of work are in alignment from the beginning of the project and managed successfully during the course of the project, inclusive of on-site leadership, and management of crews. Construction Project Managers collaborate with the design team, vendors, and tradespeople to make sure accurate information quickly gets to the parties that need it, while maintaining communication with homeowners and agents including regular status reports and email and/or text responses to inquiries. Project Managers are the linchpin of a successful project, responsible for managing and motivating the team below them to excellence.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate is a high-ownership individual who thrives in a fast-moving, detail-driven environment and takes pride in delivering projects on time, on budget, and with clear communication. They bring hands-on experience managing budgets, schedules, multiple stakeholders, vendors and crews. They are comfortable reading and interpreting plans and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Highly organized and calm under pressure, they can juggle competing priorities while collaborating closely with design, vendors, and field teams. Above all, they are a strong communicator and problem-solver who values accountability, follow-through, and delivering an excellent customer experience. The ideal candidate is also someone who is proficient with G-Suite tools, including google sheets/excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, initiate, and manage construction projects, including but not limited to: organizing and scheduling laborers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within defined scope, budget, and schedule by actively managing costs, tracking expenses, and minimizing financial risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and senior management.
  • Coordinate and oversee all onsite activities by conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety, while ensuring compliance with all building and safety regulations
  • Manage the internal construction team members assigned to your projects, motivating them to perform their best work and holding them accountable in a supportive and consistent manner, ensuring performance standards are high
  • Meet each vendor onsite at the commencement of their prospective scope to provide all necessary information and layouts for trades and vendors to execute their work according to our design standard, building codes, and timeline.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues that arise during construction.
  • Maintain and foster client relationships to ensure the highest customer satisfaction and project success.
  • Provide updates and status reports to homeowners and/or agents in order to keep them informed of the progress. This includes any changes to timelines and pricing.

  • Site Visits: Regularly visit project sites to oversee progress, inspect work, and ensure adherence to plans. Requires walking, standing, occasionally handling physical materials or equipment, and occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
  • Meetings and Communication: Attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams. Involves sitting, standing, and walking between different locations within an office or project site.
  • Safety Oversight: Ensure safety protocols are followed by physically inspecting work areas, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and enforce safety measures.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document project progress, issues, and decisions. Involves typing, writing, and organizing documentation over extended periods.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in construction project management, with a minimum of 5+ years in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Proficient in creating, maintaining, and organizing Google docs (especially sheets)
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions quickly
  • Ability to evaluate what is considered high quality work and safe work practices
  • Must be able to drive to locations throughout the Bay Area
  • Must have valid drivers license

Compensation + Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • 1 week of paid vacation per year
  • 7 paid holidays per year
