Job Description: Senior Consultant
Position Summary
As Senior Consultant, you will deliver client services in fractional Controller/CFO support, process improvement, due diligence, and general accounting/financial consulting. You will also handle forensic services, including preparation of workpapers, designing and executing investigations, exhibit preparation, and full forensic accounting manager duties. This role demands independent client management, high-stakes problem-solving, and exceptional alignment with core values of grit, integrity and prudence to drive positive outcomes for Caliber CFO Solutions' clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide fractional Controller/CFO services: financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support for small businesses.
- Lead process improvements: streamline operations, implement accounting best practices, and enhance efficiency of client operations.
- Conduct due diligence: evaluate financials for mergers, acquisitions, or investments.
- Offer accounting/financial consulting: advise on financial compliance and risk management.
- Perform forensic services: investigate suspected fraud/occupational theft, analyze contract disputes (e.g., cost-plus construction), prepare exhibits/reports, and serve as forensic manager in litigation support.
- Supervise staff work: review deliverables, ensure quality, and provide guidance on engagements.
- Hands-on development of staff: mentor juniors, conduct training, and foster professional growth.
- Maintain client relationships: some business development, marketing, and collections as needed.
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills for advanced financial modeling and analysis required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with enhanced exposure to a specialization such as financial auditing, internal auditing, consulting, or forensics.
- CPA certification highly preferred; other designations (e.g., CFE, ABV) may be considered a strong plus.
- Demonstrated grit, integrity, and prudence in high-pressure environments.
- Highest professionalism in work product, communications, and conflict resolution to guide various clients to resolution.
- Ability to dynamically adapt to various software, specializing in core industry tools like Microsoft Office and accounting/ERP systems.
- Comfortable utilizing multiple AI models and agents for enhanced productivity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
