Carnegie Corporation of New York — a leader in philanthropy since 1911 — is seeking a Senior Content Editor and Writer with exceptional editorial judgment, superb writing and researching skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the consistent ability to manage assignments end-to-end and deliver them on time. Reporting to the Principal Director, Content and Dissemination within the Communications department, the role requires a creative, diligent, and collaborative editorial professional and content strategist who is invested in the success of the organization and committed to the foundation’s grantmaking goals in the areas of education, democracy, and international peace.
The ideal candidate excels at working with internal and external stakeholders in a collegial fashion to produce multimedia content that is clear, compelling, accurate, and free of jargon. This senior manager role requires a person who can show care and tact while helping to improve the editorial skills of team members, including a direct report, while working in a close-knit office setting. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across a range of creative styles and team dynamics are essential.

Benefits:
Salary Range:
$125,000 - $135,000. New hires are typically brought into the organization between the minimum to midpoint of the salary hiring range posted depending on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
