Job Summary:
This role goes beyond writing product descriptions—you will be the storyteller behind our brand, responsible for crafting engaging content that reflects the voices of artisans, the inspiration behind our collections, and the journey of each rug from loom to living room. You’ll work closely with the design and field teams to develop authentic, human-centered content that connects emotionally with both domestic and global audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write emotionally resonant stories about artisans, village visits, design inspirations, and process journeys.
- Craft engaging content for catalogs, social media, and campaign stories.
- Collaborate with field and design teams to capture authentic narratives and visual content during artisan interactions.
- Develop brand-aligned messaging that supports marketing, PR, and customer education.
- Write compelling product descriptions that highlight the uniqueness of each piece—design, materials, and the weaver behind it.
- Translate technical carpet language into accessible and emotional content for customers.
- Support script writing for short videos or interviews with artisans/designers.
Research and write about cultural references, craftsmanship heritage, and sustainability themes.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience in content writing, journalism, or branding—preferably in home décor, craft, or lifestyle sector.
- Excellent storytelling and copywriting skills with strong grammar and creative flair.
- Passion for Indian crafts, rural stories, and artisan empowerment.
- Ability to visit villages or interact with weavers/designers to gather stories.
- Familiarity with SEO, social media writing, and brand tone development.
- Basic photography or video scripting ability is a plus.
- Fluency in English (writing) and Hindi/Rajasthani (spoken, preferred for fieldwork).Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field.
