Role Overview

Makesense Advertising is hiring a talented Senior Content Writer & Copywriter who can craft compelling brand stories, write high-quality content, and develop powerful copy across campaigns, digital platforms and marketing communication.

This role requires strong creative thinking, conceptual ability, brand understanding and the skill to execute content that performs, engages and delivers results.

Core ResponsibilitiesCopywriting

• Create compelling ad copy for campaigns, print ads, digital ads, social media and websites
• Develop taglines, punchlines, slogans & brand voice frameworks
• Write persuasive copy for marketing collaterals, brochures, packaging & presentations
• Brainstorm campaign concepts with the creative & design team
• Scriptwriting for brand films, motion graphics & digital media videos

Content Writing

• Write long-form and short-form content for diverse industries
• Website content, landing pages & company profiles
• SEO blogs and articles
• Social media content calendars with captions
• Emailers, newsletters, press notes, editorial content

Creative Strategy

• Participate in brainstorming sessions & campaign ideation
• Develop communication angles and positioning ideas
• Understand brand objectives and craft messaging accordingly
• Provide narrative direction for campaigns and rebrands

Quality & Leadership

• Review & edit content written by junior writers
• Ensure high standards of grammar, flow and creative quality
• Maintain consistent brand tonality across all communication
• Mentor and guide writing team members when needed

Required Experience

• 3 – 6 years of agency/content/copywriting experience
• Proven experience in ad copy, campaigns and brand communication
• Excellent command over English
• Strong creative imagination & conceptual thinking
• Portfolio showcasing both content + copywriting work is mandatory

Additional (Preferred)

• Malayalam and english copywriting ability
• Scriptwriting for commercials
• Experience briefing designers/art team
