What awaits you as a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer?
CMS Group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to join the Transformation Office within our light alloy aluminum wheel manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will actively contribute to driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives across production processes, including casting, machining, and painting operations.
Key Responsibilities 📋
•Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the CMS Group Transformation Office strategy
•Drive Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence practices across low-pressure aluminum casting, machining, and paint shop processes
•Plan and execute 5S implementation, auditing, and sustainability activities
•Lead advanced problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis using methodologies such as A3, 8D, and DMAIC
•Manage Six Sigma projects and support data-driven decision-making
•Lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM), SMED, Standard Work, and Work Study activities on the shop floor
•Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
•Support change management and cultural transformation initiatives within operations
•Report project progress, performance indicators, KPIs, cost savings, and improvement results to Transformation Office leadership
What You Bring 🚀
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related disciplines) 🎓
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, or related roles within manufacturing environments 🏭
• Hands-on shop-floor experience in low-pressure aluminum casting, machining, and paint shop processes (experience in aluminum wheel manufacturing is a strong asset) 🚗
• Proven experience in 5S implementation, deployment, and auditing
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification with a minimum of two completed projects (Black Belt certification is considered a strong advantage)
• Strong command of advanced problem-solving techniques and the ability to lead root cause analysis activities
• Solid knowledge and experience in project management methodologies
• Practical, hands-on experience with VSM, SMED, Standard Work, and Work Study methodologies
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
• Ability to work effectively on the shop floor and engage with both blue-collar and white-collar teams 🤝
• Strong communication, leadership, and facilitation skills
• Good command of English, both written and verbal 🌍
