TITLE: Senior Contract Analyst 100% Remote

REPORTS TO: The Senior Director of Human Resources

The Senior Contract Analyst is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of complex contracts with minimal supervision. This role includes the analysis, drafting, and negotiation of intricate contracts to ensure compliance with the policies of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs, as well as legal requirements, regulatory standards, and nonprofit regulations. The Senior Contract Analyst works to mitigate risk and oversees the entire lifecycle of all contracts within the organization. As a senior-level position, this role also provides mentorship and expert guidance to the department, promoting best practices and enhancing overall departmental expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Contract Review and Analysis.

· Examine contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with laws and regulations. Identify potential risks, ambiguities, or unfavorable terms.

· Summarize key provisions for internal and external partners.

· Drafting and Negotiation Support.

· Assist in drafting new contracts, amendments, and addendums, NDAs, and MOUs.

· Support negotiations by preparing legal and risk assessments.

· Ensure that the language aligns with company policies and legal standards.

· Compliance and Risk Management.

· Verify adherence to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.

· Monitor changes in laws that may impact contract terms.

· Highlight compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.

· Contract Lifecycle Management.

· Track contract milestones, renewals, and obligations.

· Maintain organized records in contract management systems, Docusign.

· Prepare reports on contract status and performance.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration.

· Work closely with HR, finance, accounting and projects to align contract terms with organizational legal requirements.

· Provide guidance on contractual obligations and risk exposure.

· Respond to internal inquiries regarding contract interpretation.

· Research and Advisory.

· Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and industry regulations.

· Advise on best practices for contract drafting and risk mitigation.

· Work directly with SEE legal counsel on contract compliance and content.

Knowledge Skills and Qualifications

· In-depth understanding of contract law and compliance requirements for nonprofits.

· Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

· Practical knowledge of reviewing grant agreements

· Proficient in contract management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

· Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Capable of creating effective contracts, interpreting contract language, managing risks, and enforcing contract terms.

· Must work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in a nonprofit or similar sector.

· Juris Doctor or Paralegal Certificate (or active progress towards completion of) highly desired.

· Professional certification from National Contract Management Association (NCMA) or other Business Contracts Certifications highly desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
