Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting our clients by creating & developing accurate cost estimates at all design phases (conceptual through construction documents). This position requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of general building construction specifically: institutional, education, retail, municipal, and other commercial building types.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs based on narratives, specifications, drawings, and other media at various levels of design.
  • Review and analysis of parallel cost estimates.
  • Cost estimating support on feasibility studies and facility conditions assessment reports.
  • Manage & track cost controls throughout the design process.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop budgets.
  • Utilize software tools such as On Screen Takeoff, MS Excel, & Bluebeam.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather relevant data for accurate estimates.
  • Monitor ongoing project costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Provide recommendations for cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, contracts, and change orders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Cost Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction process, labor productivity, and equipment costs.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and cost analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to run cost control meetings and reconciliation meetings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $151,540.00 - $182,055.00 per year
