Vultara is looking for a Senior Security Analyst with a blend of analytical skills and a passion for cybersecurity research. The Senior Security Analyst’s primary responsibility is to support the security services and improve the data of the Vultara tool used by our customers. The role is not specific to automotive, but the analysis and data will focus on the automotive industry.

Job Responsibilities

The following are expected responsibilities:

  • Performing threat intelligence activities to identify new threats and incidents
  • Researching and developing new threat intelligence methods or sources
  • Improving quality of existing threat intelligence activities
  • Producing detailed investigation reports on active attacks, threats, and incidents
  • Research & produce attack feasibility analysis reports for threats
  • Research new hacking tools

The following are as-needed responsibilities:

  • Support research and development of automation tools for threat intelligence
  • Support organizational security efforts, such as security compliance, SOC operations, vulnerability management, application security, etc.

General Requirements (MUST HAVE)

  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
  • Candidate must have at least 5 years of full-time working experience after graduating from a school. Fresh graduate or active students are not qualified for this position.
  • Strong self-learning, research, & analytical skills by passing our screening test
  • Serious attitude towards meeting deadlines
  • Having an independent and self-initiative attitude by assuming ownership of tasks
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment that is open for feedback and improvement
  • Attention to detail for accurate assessment and reporting

Preferred Technical Skills (GOOD TO HAVE)

  • Experience in performing threat modeling/analysis, vulnerability management, and assess risks according to known standards
  • Programming/scripting skills
  • Experience with Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408)
  • Hardware and software security practices
  • Using cybersecurity tools to perform tasks in security domains, such as

o threat intelligence (web crawlers, web scrapers, listeners, etc.)

o organizational security (SIEM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, etc.)

o pen-testing (vulnerability scanners, port scanners, etc.)

  • Automotive or embedded systems cybersecurity skills

o Experience in security analysis of products

o Experience in testing the security of products

  • Experience/knowledge using MITRE ATT&CK Framework or Auto-ISAC Automotive Threat Matrix
