Summary of Role

Haven is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead analytics for the company. You will work with department heads, translating their needs and interests into queries and dashboards. And you will work with engineering to influence data collection and management. As the first member of our Tech team focused on data and analytics you will help sculpt the strategy, prioritization, and toolset to maximize visibility of how our team is performing across all of its functions. This includes operations, sales, and marketing. Your analytics will also drive our strategy for managing our deployed battery systems to maximize savings for our customers and grid services revenue for Haven. This is a remote role, but we'll have a 2-3 day in-person meetup once per quarter.

What You’ll Do

• Develop a deep understanding of the business and the metrics that drive each team’s performance
• Work with stakeholders to turn their ideas and problems into well-defined metrics and dashboards that balance usability, feasibility, and business impact.
• Maintain an organized library of queries in our codebase
• Manage our Analytics tooling and support stakeholders in using it to do their own queries and research
• Support stakeholders in building and maintaining queries and dashboards in our CRM
• Build a backlog of analytics requests such that incoming requests and pending requests are readily able to be reviewed and prioritized for implementation
• Explore opportunities for machine learning or more advanced data science
• Collaborate with our content team to pull data that helps us tell our story in the form of blog posts and press releases
  
  

You’re a great fit if you have

• 4 - 6 years experience in analytics
• Expertise in SQL
• A good understanding of DBT and snowflake
• Experience configuring an analytics tool for use by stakeholders. We’re currently using Metabase.
• Ability to distill open-ended stakeholder requests into specific metrics
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers in engineering and product
• Exceptional written/verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate to non-technical and technical audiences with ease
• Previous experience with complex consumer-facing industries (e.g. insurance, finance, healthcare, security, energy/utilities)
• Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams
• Passion for understanding and impacting how energy is produced and consumed
